Entry Title: Neighbor's Cat

Mrs Fisk, was kind enough to watch her neighbors 17 year old diabetic cat, 'Maude'. One day, Mrs Fisk called frantically that Maude had died under her care. After I calmed her down, Mrs Fisk had decided to put the cat in her freezer until the owner returned from his vacation. I recommended that she let me take the body. I explained a dead animal should not be kept in the freezer with the leftovers. Mrs Fisk. Appeared with the cat and I met her in the exam room. The cat was cold and stiff, but its eyes did not look 'dead'. I quickly ran out, got 10 cc of dextrose and injected Maude intravenously. In a matter of seconds, Maude jumped up as if nothing had happened. Mrs Fisk was ecstatic. I had saved the day and Maude still had 8 lives to go.

Entry Title: Office Daily Life

Life in the office is never boring. There are situations that occur everyday that have led me to generate some office rules. If you are here for a urine drug screen, you must pee. Suppositories are to be inserted into the rectum, not taken by mouth. Medication works better if you buy it. Even better when you take it. If you are a druggie with pain, you will probably leave with the same pain. If you don't know the medication another doctor gave you, there's a good chance I don't know either. If you decide to do something stupid, please scratch my name off your prescriptions. If I put you on a diet and you gain weight, then stop that diet. It's not so important that I know you can't sleep at 2 am by calling. No pulse is incompatible with life, call 911.
